2005 KHS Alumni News



The 65th annual Keytesville High School Alumni Banquet was held March 26th in the Keytesville High School gym. Alumni president Courtney Wahlbrink welcomed alumni and guests and introduced the other officers, Vice President Annjeanette (Walser) Hubbard, Secretary Charles Coy, and Treasurer Shirley (Perkins) Huckabey.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was spoken in unison by all in attendance. Tom Enderle gave the invocation. The dinner was catered by Christine Atterbury and staff.

Following the dinner the graduating class of 2005 were introduced. Recognition was given to the following graduates: oldest male graduate-Luther Stark, class of 1928; oldest female graduate-Mary Virginia Edwards, class of 1933; travel the longest distance-Robin Williams from Florida; and most family members present was the Clifford Imgarten family.

Teachers attending the banquet were John Hunter-past teacher, and Christopher Kendrick-present teacher. School board members in attendance were Jeff Peters and Barry Imgarten. The Superintendent Mr. Paul Vossler gave a short presentation.

The honorary class of 1955 and 1980 were recognized. Speaking for the 50 year class was Maurice Young and Dave Imgarten spoke for the 25 year class. Speaking for the 60 year class (1945) was Eleanor Bennett. Speaking for the 45 year class (1960) was Larry Pollard and speaking for the 40 year class (1965) and providing the group with a trivia quiz was Lowell Newsom.

Charles Coy gave a short presentation about the alumni website, including a history of how the site was started and updates and changes that had been made. It was announced that the new website address is www.keytesvillealumni.org.

The banquet was closed with the singing of the Alma Mater.

Following the banquet a Sock Hop was held at the school multi-purpose room and another dance was held at the Salisbury Knights of Columbus Hall with music by Rhythm Express. Breakfast was served at the Salisbury Diner.
